Gold chain with agate intaglio - Austro -Hungary

Gold pocket watch chain made of 14k rose gold at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Two natural agate plates are set into a horseshoe-shaped pendant with an ornately decorated frame. One plate carries an intaglio with a contemporary popular motif of a soldier with a helmet. The jewelry is stamped with the Austro-Hungarian "fox" hallmark.

The total length of the chain is 37.5 cm. It can be worn as a short necklace or wrapped twice around the wrist as a bracelet.
