Gold pocket watch chain with amethyst

The chatelaine (watch chain) made of 14k rose gold has a natural amethyst weighing approx. 25 ct set in a fob. This can be removed from the chain and another pendant added thanks to the carabiner.

The object is marked in several places - the chain and the amethyst fob bear the Austro-Hungarian "fox" (Vienna) hallmark used until 1921, the fob carabiner is marked with the Czechoslovak hallmark for foreign goods.

The chatelaine was not originally intended to be worn as a necklace and is quite short (approx 38cm), however, it is wearable, see the photographs.
