This Austro-Hungarian chatelaine chain (originally designed for a pocket watch) made of 14k rose gold is made of an interesting double-braided chain. The square medallion which can be opened is set with a dark blue paste stone in its center and has engraving on the back. The chain is marked with the Austro-Hungarian "fox" hallmark (with the letter "A", which means that it was hallmarked in Vienna), used between 1872 and 1922.
