Peacock head porcelain gravy boat
Porcelain gravy boat with hand-painted floral motifs and elaborate peacock head. Similar motifs with bird and mythological animal heads were very popular and used by many porcelain manufactures throughout Europe.

Saucepan with attached tray in rococo revival style. A beautiful piece of late 19th century craftsmanship. The material is silver plated alpaca (base metal). Marked "K & Co.N".In the mid-nineteenth century, the term rococo referred to a style recalling the ornament and design aesthetics of the reigns of Louis XV and early Louis XVI.
