Pocket watch and chain with an opening locket made of silver, decorated with niello (also known as tula) technique. The watch was hallmarked in Le Noirmont, Switzerland, at the beginning of the 20th century. The chain is marked in several places with the maker´s mark "M&S".
Functional, manual winding via the crown. The material and its fineness are confirmed by a certificate issued by the Czech Assay Office. The crown is made of base metal.
Tula (niello) is an inlay technique in which etched or engraved grooves in metal are filled with a contrasting black material (a mixture of metals and sulfur melted with the addition of borax and then processed using ammonium chloride to form a paste).
Due to the age of the watch, we cannot guarantee their accuracy and long-term functionality.
