Glass cup with the theme of the Last Supper
A clear colorless glass, surface finished with ruby glaze, approximately from the mid-19th century. On one side, it has an engraving based on the painting "The Last Supper." On the other side, there are seven cut lenses. Each one bears a part of the text referring to the city of Teplice, and in the middle there is the monogram "M.M."
In excellent condition, with only slight scratches on the bottom of the base caused by normal use.
Souvenir glass
Glass goblets and cups decorated to the customer's specifications have been very popular gifts and souvenirs since the first half of the 19th century. They were individual gifts for name days, birthdays, and other personal or family anniversaries. Sometimes, instead of a monogram, only a universal inscription such as ANDENKEN (In memory) was engraved.
