Putto as a boy with a pistol - Meissen
A detailed figurine from the series "Cupids/Putti in Disguise" by modeler Michel Victor Acier (1736–1799), produced at the world-famous Meissen porcelain factory.
This model, named Amorette als Knabe mit Pistole (which can be translated as Putto as a boy with a pistol), was designed in 1775 and manufactured in the 19th century. The markings on the bottom of the figurine were used by the company from 1815 until the beginning of the 20th century.
The figurine represents top-quality modeling and painting work.
It bears small traces of damage and repairs.
