Gold earrings with synthetic spinels
Earrings made in the 1940s in Czechoslovakia from 14k yellow gold. Set at the center of the piece are light blue synthetic spinels, surrounded by a wide frame composed of leaves and flowers. Fastened with a classic ladies’ clasp.
Stamped with the Czechoslovak "lion" hallmark and, less legibly, the maker’s mark and fineness number.
Synthetic stones are chemically identical to natural stones but are created artificially. Compared to natural stones, these stones have the same or even better properties and do not contain various flaws, cracks, inclusions, etc.
