Gold grandel brooch
Distinctive gold brooch (9,3 cm) in the shape of two oak branches with grandels. The individual leaves are sculpted and acorns modelled, frosted and engraved. The goldsmith alternated 14k gold of two colours (yellow and rose). Marked with a modern "swan" pucca and a fineness number of "585". The needle has a lock.
Grandel is the hunting term for a roe or deer tooth, specifically a canine. In the jewellery industry, these teeth are used to adorn hunting jewellery and only the best and highest quality pieces are selected.
