Silver bowl - František Bibus

Silver bowl with smooth polished parts, decorative openwork and an embossed rim. Marked with the Czechoslovak hallmark used between 1929-1941 and František Bibus' "FB" master mark.

The founder of the company was Franz Josef Bibus (1860-1941), who worked in Moravská Třebová since 1883, where he married and in 1887 had a son Carl Alois Franz Bibus. He later became a co-owner of the company (since 1917). The company name Franz Bibus first appears in 1896. Originally the company produced gold and silver chains, later expanding its range to include boxes, cutlery and tableware.
