SOLD - Gold locket with "A" initial - Austria-Hungary
Oval locket dating from the last quarter of the 19th century with the place of hallmarking in Vienna. The material is 14k rose gold (fineness 580/1000), which is also heavily gilded with yellow gold. The front case features an applique of the "A" initial, which is set with 19 natural rose cut diamonds. Inside the pendant there is space for two photographs protected by two glass frames.
Marked with Austro-Hungarian hallmarks and the "SB" master mark.
The piece is in good condition considering its age, there is a slight wear to the gilding on the back and a small dent on the bottom edge (see photos).
