Glass vase Rindskopf Diluvium, approx. 1900
Hexagonal small vase with wide faceted sides made of completely opaque hyalite glass (diluvium) of brick red color. It is either a product of the Rindskopf glassworks - Diluvium. Undamaged.
Josef Rindskopf´s Söhne, based in Teplice-Šanov, was founded in 1890 by brothers Albert, Sidney, Edwin and Sherman Rindskopf. The company operated 3 glassworks: Fanny in Duchcov (founded in 1858), Joseph in Košťany (founded in 1878) and Barbara in Mstišov (founded in 1900). These glassworks produced a wide range of glass from utility to luxury glass. Especially in the period between 1900 and 1905, Rinskopf was one of the important competitors of the Loetz glassworks. The most popular and well-known decors include Diluvium, Persica, Pepita, Grenada and Pfauen-Glas.
