At the turn of October and November, people worldwide celebrate the day of the deceased. In Anglo-Saxon countries, it’s Halloween; in our country, it’s All Souls' Day; in Mexico, Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead); and in Japan, Obon.
While for us these are days of silence, calm, and reflection, other regions have different customs. Let’s explore the traditions and symbols associated with honouring the deceased during this time.
