Even prehistoric people were captivated by the cosmos. Five thousand years ago, people used the regular orbit of the Sun, Moon, and other celestial bodies to navigate in both time and space.
 
The beauty of celestial bodies is inspiring, and jewellery with celestial symbolism has been created not only for its beauty but also for its deeper meanings. The Moon represents hope, dreams, and femininity; stars embody positive energy; and the Sun symbolises strength, regularity, happiness, and life. Another popular celestial symbol is the infinity sign. Jewellery with this symbolism is perfect for free spirits and makes a great gift to celebrate a new baby. It’s also often found on engagement rings.

 

Moonstone

It is said that moonstone was formed directly from moonbeams and that one can see the future in it during a full moon. This precious stone, reminiscent of the Moon’s surface, is among the most prized gemstones. Its beautiful reflections are created by tiny inclusions of metals and chemical compounds, which, under different angles of light, generate colours, giving the stone a glow from within.
 
Typical moonstones are colourless, glowing with blue or rainbow hues, but they can also be found in shades of orange, grey, yellow, green, blue, or pink. Moonstones were especially loved during the Art Nouveau period, and can be found in many breathtaking pieces from that time.

Sunstone

Aventurine feldspar, or sunstone, is not as widely known as moonstone. However, it helps to alleviate fear, depression, and negativity, bringing energy, vitality, optimism, and joy.
