Pair of silver sugar sprinklers - Rudolf Rechner
Massive sugar sprinkles made of silver of 800/1000 fineness come from the workshop of the renown Prague goldsmith and silversmith Rudolf Rechner. They are marked with a Czechoslovak hallmark used since 1929, the maker's mark "HG" and on the base "RUD. RECHNER".
Rudolf Rechner (active 1895-1951) trained in the workshop of his father Jan Rechner II, which he subsequently took over. He was based in Prague's New Town, and after the war in the Old Town. His works are represented in the National Museum and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague.
