R. S. Prussia molded porcelain set
A porcelain coffee set from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries originating from the famous R.S. Prussia (Reinhold Schlegelmilch Porcelain) porcelain factory consisting of eleven items.
There are of 4 saucers, 4 cups, a milk jug, a sugar bowl with a lid and a teapot with a lid. It is fine thin-walled porcelain pressed into a mold, decorated with relief and painting of flowers in pastel colors. The edges of the vessels still bear the remains of the original gilding. Marked below with a "flakes" relief, used in the early period.
This hexagonal type (OM 47) was first introduced in the catalog of Giorgio Sommer & Co. from 1899. This porcelain factory became famous in the world, at the beginning of the 20th century it exported large quantities of molded porcelain to America. Pressed porcelain is incredibly light, perhaps because of this, it has become popular with many collectors.
