Dancer figure - Goldscheider
Figure of a dancer in very good condition was designed for the Goldscheider porcelain company by the French artist Albert Dominique Rose. Originally, a lamp was included, which has not been preserved. Marked "Goldscheider Wien".
In 1885, Friedrich Goldscheider came from the Czech city of Pilsen to Vienna, where he founded the Porcelain Goldscheider factory and a majolica factory. It has become one of the most influential ceramic manufactories in Austria, with subsidiaries in Paris, Leipzig and Florence. For more than half a century, Goldscheider has created works of historical revival, Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
