Ornamental faience flowerpot with a majolica glaze, produced in the French town of Sarreguemines at the Faïenceries de Sarreguemines factory in the last third of the 19th century. At that time, the enterprise was one of the leading manufacturers of ceramic goods in France, and its production was also exported abroad. Around 1870, the factory introduced colored majolica glazing, which soon became a distinctive feature of its decorative products and contributed significantly to the manufactory’s renown.
After restoration, in excellent condition.
