Alfréd Pollak (active from 1878 - 1909 Prague) was an important Prague goldsmith, jeweller and founder of a factory which operated until 1934. Between 1890 and 1898 he established a workshop with a shop at 21 Platnéřská Street in the Prague Old Town, which he expanded after 1900 into a large factory, K. und k. Hofsilberwaarenfabrik, with 40 to 50 goldsmiths (from 1905 in Bredovská Street). It had branches in Budapest and Vienna and exported its goods to Italy and Russia.
