The obverse features portraits of Emperor Francis Joseph I and his wife, Empress Elisabeth of Bavaria (Sisi), and the reverse depicts a woman in a robe sitting on a throne. The <strong>limited issue of 275.000 pieces</strong> makes it an interesting and beautiful collector's coin.</p>
<p>Condition as shown in the photo. The coin was probably previously fitted with an eyelet; today, only faint marks are visible on the edge.</p>

These ducats were made from gold with a fineness of <strong data-start="178" data-end="190">986/1000</strong> between <strong data-start="199" data-end="216">1923 and 1939</strong> at the <strong data-start="224" data-end="241">Kremnica Mint</strong>, one of the oldest continuously operating mints in the world (established in <strong data-start="319" data-end="327">1328</strong>). The design was created by renowned artists – sculptor <strong data-start="384" data-end="402">Jaroslav Benda</strong> and Professor <strong data-start="417" data-end="435">Otakar Španiel</strong>. The obverse features the <strong data-start="462" data-end="496">iconic figure of St. Wenceslas</strong> holding a sword and shield, while the reverse is adorned with a <strong data-start="561" data-end="583">double-tailed lion</strong>, the symbol of Czech statehood.
