Gorham Manufacturing Company is one of the largest American producers of sterling silver. The company was founded in 1831 by Jabez Gorham on Rhode Island and has been growing ever since. Her main product was silver cutlery, but she also made thimbles, combs, jewelry and other small items. Gorham's descendants mechanized production methods and expanded the premises. From the middle of the 19th century, they were inspired by the European market.
