Travel French alarm clock made of gilded brass between 1919-1925. Marked J. E. Caldwell & Co. a Couaillet Frères. The watchmaking of the Couaillet brothers has been operating since the second half of the 19th century in the north of France in Normandy. Since 1890, it began to specialize in so-called travel alarm clocks, thanks to whose great popularity the company expanded internationally. After the First World War, they also sold their products to America, which is why the name of the American jewelry and silver company J. E. Caldwell & Co. appears on this alarm clock. Philadelphia. However, as early as 1925, the company went bankrupt and the production ended.

The clock is functional in very good condition.
